From the peaks all the way down into the valley you can choose from a wide range of sporting and relaxation activities. Hiking, rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing there are endless activities on offer.

There are hiking trails as far as your feet can carry you, a mountain tour to the Kitzsteinhorn or Schmittenhohe is a special experience for active holiday makers. There are 83 routes with breathtaking scenery. If you don't fancy hiking you can also conquer the mountain comfortably in one of the many cable cars. Once at the top take a break in one of Austria's typical huts, Alpine cabins or Inns.

On the lake you can try sailing go windsurfing, water skiing canoeing or take out a pedalo. There are lakeside beaches and lidos with slides for swimming.

Ten minutes walk from Apartment Glockenspiel is the Optimum Leisure Centre with both indoor and outdoor pools with slides and a children's play area. A Well Being Centre with sauna, hot tubs, whirlpool, aroma grotto (Massages and treatments can be booked).

There are dozens of mountain bike routes from a gentle peddle across the valley or for the serious adrenalin junkie the 8km World Championship descent. You can take your bike up on the cable car then cycle down.

If golf is your activity of choice head to the Zell am See Kaprun Golf Club. It's Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhohe golf courses have been regulars in the Golf Monthly's top 25 European holiday golf courses.
